Winter Solstice – 22nd June 2019

This week we welcome Oldway Farm to the mix of Harvest Launceston stall holders, offering delicious chemical-free pasture-raised meat chickens direct from their West Tamar farm.  But stock is limited so best get in early! Why not throw on a roast chook this weekend with a side of steaming veges from Laos Fresh Farm or Steve’s Vegies! Perfect for a cold winter evening.

Have you tried a hot brew from Provenance Coffee Co. yet? Did you know that last week Jesse and his team were announced as WINNERS of the ‘Tribute to a Farmer Competition’ out of a massive 54 roasters from across Australia and New Zealand!? It will be a frosty morning this Saturday…perfect conditions to cradle a hot coffee from Provenance as you explore the market.

And while we’re on the topic of stallholders hitting new heights, did you catch Hazelbrae Hazelnuts on Landline last weekend? Christie and Mick were already celebrities in our minds, but now it’s official! They were stoked to spend a day filming with Pip Courtney, raising the profile of the Hazelnut industry in Australia and showcasing their award winning nuts. It’s the Winter Solstice this weekend which means two things are guaranteed – The days are getting longer, and there will be tasty treats and plentiful produce waiting for you at Harvest Launceston Community Farmer’s Markets!

See you there!
