There will be a buzz in the air at Harvest Launceston Community Farmer’s Market this week with the 2019 AFL Grand Final kicking off at 230pm. Get down to the market early to grab some gourmet sausages, chutney and fresh bread for a tasty footy final treat. Top it off with a dash of Paul’s Original Hot Sauce and you will really know you are alive! Paul is a new stall holder at Harvest and a trained chef, using locally grown chillies to produce a range of chilli sauce varieties – original, bbq, extra hot sauce and seasonal flavours. We dare you to try them…they are sure to get you singing for the AFL showdown. You can find Paul’s Original Hot Sauce located behind Ritual Coffee this weekend.
Who will be crowned 2019 AFL Grand Final victors? Will it be the Richmond or the GWS Giants? No matter who your team, what better way to say cheers to the winner than with a locally crafted tipple from one of our artisan brewers and distillers – Wanderer’s Mead, Seven Sheds, Van Diemen Brewing and Metcalf Distilleries.
Mead is honey-based and the oldest of all alcoholic drinks. Stephen from Wanderer Mead makes dry and semi-dry meads and offers a selection of flavours using Tasmanian fruit, herbs and spices.
And you can’t go home without Modo Mio Naked’s infamous chocolate brownies. Any Grand Final blues are sure to be eased with one of these decadent morsels of chocolate goodness.
There is something for everyone at the Harvest Markets.
See you there!
