Berries, Blooms and Brownies | November 21, 2020

We have a HUGE weekend planned at Harvest, with the return of Bioberries with their fresh raspberries, Modo Mio Naked, Vix Kitch and Tasmanian Tonic Co.  It feels like Christmas is fast approaching, as the market is beginning to fill up with seasonal produce; asparagus (Newry Farm and Headlam Farm), blooms (Heathermoor Peonies and Lily Farm), mushrooms (Hillwood Fresh and new stallholder West Tamar Fungi) and fresh raspberries (Bioberries) and strawberries (Sheffield Berry Gardens) will be in abundance this weekend.

Farmgate Festival is also happening this weekend in the Tamar Valley, with 12 local producers opening their properties up to the public so you can go behind the scenes and see how some of the best produce in the world is made.  Harvest Market producers Honey Tasmania, The Village Olive Grove, Lentara Grove, Brady’s Lookout Cider and Tamar Valley Truffles will all be featuring in the festival.  Be sure to check out their website if you would like to know more, or purchase tickets – https://farmgatefestival.net.au/

The weather this weekend is looking great, with a top of 22 and a light breeze forecast.

For entertainment on the SOMA community stage we will have a visit from the Tasmania Police Pipe Band from 9:30-10am, followed by Tony Newport.

See you at the market!
