Hopefully the rain of the past days has been falling in the right places and is bringing some relief to Tassie farmers who are impacted by drought. At Harvest Launceston this Saturday we are celebrating the final month of Spring. Trio of dips will not only have a mouth-watering array of dips, but will be tempting us with their souvlaki as well. Hazelbrae is celebrating their championship status with delicious ice-cream while George Town Seafood will be at the market but in a fresh spot at the Cameron Street end. Thirlstane Gardens will have fresh basil, exclusive to Harvest Launceston, so be sure to pay Grahame a visit!
However, there will be no eggs and no potatoes as Erinvale takes a break for the next five weeks and Mt Roland Farm stays home to encourage their chickens to keep on laying eggs. Fingers crossed Mt Roland will be back next week with plenty of eggs.
With our fresh new look, Harvest is running a Where’s Wheelie campaign to help you all familiarise yourselves with the new layout. Our bright red wheelbarrow will be parked at various locations throughout the market day. When you locate it, take a pic of yourself or your produce and the wheelie, post to Facebook or Instagram tag it and the best pic will be featured in our newsletters.
Don’t forget there is FREE parking at the Willis Street car park and plenty of other parking options in the area.
The Fergusons will provide some great vibes from 8:30am with Peter Vandenberg also coming down to play some tunes
The weather is looking good with clearing showers forecast (let’s hope for more of the “clearing” and less of the “showers”!
