This Week @ Harvest | February 27, 2021

Tasmanian Natural Garlic & Tomatoes are in house this weekend with their mouth watering selection of tomatoes, eggplants and garlic. The rich, fertile soils of Tasmania’s Meander Valley combined with the organic farming principles and nurturing practice of farmers Annette and Nevil deliver standout flavour, colour, variety and quality. Learn all things garlic and tomatoes, take a tour of the farm and find out what’s been happening at this year’s Tasmanian Garlic & Tomato Festival on Sunday 21st March.

This is Johnny. Jonny is holding a bunch of herbs. The herb Johnny is holding is Summer Savoury. Ze Germans call it “the bean herb”. The call it this because it can reduce the, how to put this… flatulence… that is often associated with eating beans. Now you know 😆

With fermented food and beverages said to be the No. 1 superfood trend in 2021, come down to Harvest this weekend and get your fermentation fix with a bottle of kombucha from Avocado Moon. Kombucha is a fermented tea drink full of beneficial probiotics shown to improve digestion, heal the gut and deliver a myriad of other health benefits. Not only is it good for you, Avocado Moon make it taste great with a range of delicious flavours to choose including Blackberry, Lemon Myrtle and Passionfruit.

This weekend on the SOMA Community Stage we are going to be absolutely wowed by Grace Iris from 8:30am followed by Oscar O’Shea from 10:30am. The weather is looking to be typically Tasmanian – wonderful as soon as we have returned to school!!

See you at the market!
