The SOMA Community stage will resound to the voices of local school children this Saturday. A feast of voices will be part of the usual feast of local produce featuring summer berries, juices, the freshest of mushrooms, vegetables and greens and the launch of a new beer, Smokin’ Jozef by Seven Sheds.
The incredible talent from our local schools will be on stage:
First up is “The Sound” from Mowbray Heights Primary school from 9:30am to 10am. They are followed by “The Fellas” from the Launceston Church Grammar School at 10:30am. Our morning will be finished by the fabulous New Horizons Choir who will raise the stage roof at 11:30 am.
Summer equals berries and this week sees Westerway Berry Farm, join Sheffield Berry Gardens and Bioberries with early ripening varieties.
Seven Sheds Brewery is launching Smokin’ Jozef at Harvest Market this week. Catherine and Willie discovered this rare, oak-smoked wheat ale during a visit to Poland in 2019. This historic beer style is known as Grodziskie and nearly died out before being revived more recently by Polish craft brewery Pinta. Willie oak-smoked the wheat at Seven Sheds and Smokin’ Jozef is also their first foray into cans.
