This week Artisa is offering vegan friendly plant based cheeses. Made on a cashew nut base and cultured with non-dairy probiotics, they are lactose and gluten free. Artisa cheese features locally sourced ingredients to add that uniquely Tasmanian flavour, such as the pepperberry dusted ‘Kunanyi’, ‘Ben Lomond’ layered with vine ash, and the ‘Tarkine Log’ with Tasmanian cherries and hazelnuts.
We are also excited to feature The Tassie Hemp Shop, who are selling dehulled hemp seed direct from the family farm in Sheffield. Hemp seeds are said to have a rich nutritional profile – a great source of protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals and unsaturated fats. Throw them in your bliss balls, smoothies, or muffins for a healthy snack on the run. Or how about a hemp seed and basil pesto for a delicious and nutritious pasta sauce. Basil has been selling like hotcakes and once again is at Thirlstane Gardens this week!
In addition to our featured stallholders, there will of course be abundant supplies of berries, sourdough bread, coffee, seasonal veggies, pre-pepared meals and plenty of pantry favourites.
